Position Description

The Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of Calgary invites applications for a full-time tenure track position at the rank of Instructor. The appointment date for the successful candidate is anticipated to be July 2018.

We are seeking a candidate with expertise in Leadership in Coaching and Pedagogy who is focused on teaching and teaching innovation as it relates to movement, physical literacy and sport performance. Strong interest, background and training in learning and coaching leadership research are essential. Ability to teach a qualitative methodology course would be considered an asset.

The successful candidate will participate in curriculum development and university service, and will actively support our undergraduate program. Opportunities for undergraduate research supervision are available as well as co-supervision of graduate students. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Coaching Leadership and demonstrate evidence of, or strong potential for, teaching effectiveness, experience in student mentoring, and innovation in teaching at the university level. The candidate will be expected to maintain currency in related research areas via contributions to the Society of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education.
